Brookline Department of Public Health Hires Roland Lankah as Assistant Health Director
Lankah holds a master’s in public health from Walden and is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Health with a specialization in Epidemiology. His research uses cross-sectional study design, which focuses on the association between gestational weight gain, pre-pregnancy-BMI, maternal birth country, and infant mortality outcome within the U.S. Sub-Saharan African immigrant population.
Tia Knight-Forbes Opens Clinic Dedicated to Black Community
“The importance of having a doctor who understands your culture is huge,” said Knight-Forbes, 41, whose dissertation centered on providing culturally competent care to Black youth. “If you don’t understand them, they are not going to listen to you.” Knight-Forbes earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice at Walden in 2019.
John Voight Named EIRMC’s Chief Nursing Officer
Voight holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Nursing Practice. He is also a U.S. Army veteran and was a police officer prior to pursuing a nursing career.
